Today, it’s an interview with Mike Keneally. Best known for playing in Frank Zappa’s band, Steve Vai’s band, and Joe Satriani’s band. He created one of my favorite records of all time, LOOK THIS UP: the Vai Piano Reductions, in which he plays a selection of Steve Vai’s guitar music — on solo piano. Truly enchanting and scary. He also happened to play '70s classic rock guitar and do many character voices for my album Grand Architects of the Universe.
